Bell, Book & Canto

Bell Book & Canto and Joe Reilly will be in concert Nov. 14, 3 p.m., at the Kalamazoo Nature Center. Splitting the program, Bell Book & Canto will present Sacred Pagan Music and Joe Reilly will present spiritual and environmentally conscious music.

Some of Bell Book & Canto’s music centers around the Goddess, Magic, and other forms of Pagan-Centered Spirituality, including reverence for the earth. Many Pagans revere and worship the Earth, and some BB&C’s music celebrates the sacred connection between ourselves and the Earth.

Joe Reilly is on a musical journey of faith and spirit. His songs touch deep reserves of compassion and joy within the hearts of his listeners, giving encouragement to others on the spiritual path and using music as a universal voice of communication and celebration beyond lines of religion and race. Joe is Italian, Irish, and Native American (Cherokee) and was raised Catholic in a creative household by musical parents who encouraged him to find his own voice. Joe loves to inspire others to do the same and to water seeds of compassion, joy, wisdom, and peace in our collective consciousness through the sharing of music.

Joe is happy to return to his hometown of Kalamazoo to perform as part of the Michigan Festival of Sacred Music. He will be singing songs from his albums Children of the Earth (2007), Touch the Earth (2009), Let’s Go Outside (2011), and Greyhound Bus Tour (Earthwork Music, 2013).

Admission to this concert is free. Donations accepted.
