Messiah Sing

The 22nd Annual “Messiah” Sing will take place in the historic First Congregational United Church of Christ sanctuary, downtown Kalamazoo, in a collaboration between the Michigan Festival of Sacred Music and First Congregational United Church of Christ.

A Kalamazoo community tradition since 1995, the Sing features a Chamber Orchestra made up of professional musicians from the Kalamazoo area along with soloists Corlyn Longer-Schreck (soprano), Tami Snyder-Knutson (mezzo soprano), Howard Tejchma (tenor), and Joseph Schreck (bass).

Michael Palmer, Director of Music Ministries of First Congregational United Church of Christ, will be conducting. Portions of George Frideric Handel’s “Messiah” will be sung by those who wish to participate. Please bring a “Messiah” score with you, or borrow a copy at the door. For those who wish to listen only, you are welcome and encouraged to join us.

Bring a Messiah score or borrow one at the door. Admission is free. A freewill offering will be accepted.
