Even in history’s darkest hours, art and beauty have prospered.
The Michigan Festival of Sacred Music joins with Chamber Music on the Fox (Elgin, Illinois) and St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum to present a livestream concert and lecture dedicated to the music and memory of artists who perished in the Holocaust.
Learn their stories, witness their music, and come together to remember these lost — but not forgotten — voices.
Much of the most powerful and beautiful art was born out of history’s darkest hours. Join Chamber Music on the Fox Co-Artistic Director Sara Sitzer as she explores the incredible musical culture inside of Terezin, the Nazi concentration camp for artists during the second world war.
Performed by the Chamber Music on the Fox Players, this program features the works of Erwin Schulhoff, Gideon Klein, and Andre Previn.
Pre-registration is required to view this concert. Chamber Music on the Fox is providing this performance without charge, but we urge you to donate generously when signing up!
